Daniel's is a great place to eat. Staff is always fast and kind. The atmosphere speaks to wonderful people running the restaurant. If you have a problem with your meal, just tell them about it and they will solve it. Buffet is the best in town and every night you have different choices but the fantastic fried chicken is available every night. Highly recommended to locals and visitors to Towns County!

The best fried chicken! The veggies are kind of ho hum but I guess anything fresh or interesting is tough to do on a buffet. Pretty much open a can and heat it up. My husband adores the place though. I haven't had it myself but a friend said it was the best prime rib he has had.

It is a very good place to eat. The food is great and so is the service. You can eat from a full buffet or order from the menu. Great big steaks that are very tender. Try it you will like it.

The food just not taste good at all usually it used to be really good fresh food but not now everything is going down will not be going back there.

This is NOT a steakhouse. Best way to describe it would be a fusion of Ryan's and a Chinese buffet. I ordered a NY strip and GF ordered the ribeye, both medium. Mine came well done and hers closer to medium rare. Only reason for the 2 stars rather than one is that our steaks had decent flavor.

Fantastic restaurant that never disappoints! The service is always great and fast with quality food to match. Going in small or large groups you can easily utilitise their menu or buffet. I have never had an experience that I didn't fully enjoy.

Not super impressed. It was inexpensive, but food quality just not there. Monday night fried chicken was pretty good, and the little strawberry shortcake desserts, but that was about it.😔

There are lots of items to choose from on the salad bar. plenty of choices on a main course. the food is well seasoned and tasty I have never had a bad server there, and they always keep my drink field

In this time of Covid 19, they were very concerned about keeping the diners safe. Gloves were provided to use as we served ourselves. The waitresses all were careful and helpful.

Service is always the best around. Food, well, its slipping since the new folks took over. I still come often, but it has slipped. My one real complaint is the cake is ALWAYS dry. Don't get me wrong. I recommend this place often. Great prices. The food is good. Waitresses are incredible. One other tweak? Soft serve ice cream or at least a way to put icecream on the cobbler...

Every detail is carefully thought out to ensure that guests are safe. All staff are neat and tidy, wear mask and gloves, hand sanitizing stations are available, and guest gloves are provided at buffet entry! We could not be more impressed! Thank you!

Very low quality steak. It definitely was not fresh. Three of us had the NY strip special and all 3 of us got sick...........

Daniel’s Steakhouse is a top choice for both locals and tourists. I have been eating here since I was a kid! Out of hundreds of visits over the course of my life, I’ve never had a bad experience. The new owners have done a really good job, and even added a new salad bar/buffet on the far side of the restaurant for the Sunday crowds. Everyone is always kind and welcoming. God bless you guys!

Glad they had gloves on buffet due to Covid virus. Great waitress...food terrible. 1st and last time going there! Salad lettuce limp & end of container..veggies just ok. I had a bite & left it. Ribs tonite very fatty, chicken just ok, sausage, sauerkraut just ok. The corn sitting in water, salty & tasteless. Sub par food....not appealing at all. Tried the cheesecake, but it was warm. I would go somewhere else next time visiting this area.

Visitors in town looking for a great steakhouse and we were disappointed in the taste of the food Great waitress, but terrible tough steaks and prime rib. Baked potato was cold. We won’t be visiting here again when we return for vacation. They took it off my ticket but if you are a steak man like me you won’t enjoy this steak.

The owners and staff were very pleasant and polite. It was our first time in the area. They sign said they closed at 8:30. We arrived at 8. The food was good and the portions and prices fair. Unfortunately we were being rushed because everyone wanted to go home. We sat down w menus and was immediately asked if we would be ordering from the grill? Apparently they wanted to shut it off 30 minutes before closing. I got the prime rib and my wife had the buffet. Not one bite into our salads we were asked if we would be returning for more. Yes! Guessing they wanted to close that up to. While the exiting employees were filling their carry out boxes my wife did get a second helping. Two bites into my salad my prime rib arrived so by the time I got to eat it it was room temperature and the Texas toast wasn’t edible. But we left full and I left a 25% gratuity. Get the well before close on Saturday.

Best restaurant in Hiawassee!! Limited but excellent home style buffet. Best friend chicken, fresh salad bar, friendly staff.

When we are in Hiawassee we always eat here. Great tasting food and great service. Southern cooking at its best at good prices. Great family atmosphere.

When you think of a staple in Hiawassee, there is none better than Daniels! Great team, fantastic food, excellent Christian environment, beautiful location, and one of the hardest working worker/owners I have met. The owner and his family have a deep affection for this community and it’s residents. This is evident in how the restaurant is run and how the employees speak and act. I cannot remember a place where I feel the employees consistently seem happy. When I think of a place to take visitors, friends or my family I will always consider Daniels first!

This place is great to go to if you are hungry and want to spend quality time together with your family. The atmosphere is wonderful and food is great. The price is worth it. Gaurenteed to please your taste buds. Worth the over eating, if you are worried. The salad bar is also a delight .

I just want to give Daniel's a big "THANK YOU" for the great food and great service! I work for a Senior Independent Living Community and Daniel's graciously allows our residents and office staff to sit and eat together every Monday evening in a private dining area. with the buffet set up in the room so no one has to go into the main dining area. This keeps our residents and staff protected from being exposed to COVID. Our waitress, Sandy, wears a mask and takes such good care of us! Thank you Daniel's for going above and beyond so that our residents can fellowship and eat with each other during these uncertain times!

This is absolutely a great place to eat!! My wife and I were in town for our anniversary and were looking for a great place for steaks. Reasonably priced with great quality. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. Steak and crab legs were cooked to perfection, and I am very picky about quality. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Good food, the buffet always has yummy choices. The fried chicken is good. The beef tips over rice is a favorite of mine. It's reasonably priced. Friendly service.

Worst place I have ever been to. I genuinely can’t believe this place is in business. I can forgive bad servers but there is zero justification for how rude this owner is. He needs a class in professionalism before ever attempting to be the boss anywhere. His responses to complaints on Google reviews are terribly unprofessional and reflect the restaurant. Never come here!

WOW, great food, great service, and great PRICES! We love this place, and even though we don't know everyones name, we just love how friendly, kind and caring they are...especially the lady at the register...she's lived here in the same home for over 40 years, and loves to tell how much she loves this area.....she is so precious and smiles and welcomes with such love. We love the fried Chicken, and the BBQ Ribs on Thursdays.....and we have never been disappointed. Huge Thank You to everyone that works so diligently to prepare all the wonderful foods everyday and greet everyone with such a warm smile and kind words. Sunday brunch is pretty good. Best turkey & dressing ever! Fried chicken is delicious! Yams, creamed corn, and okra are the best! Dessert isn't anythig to write home about, however. Lots of canned pudding, some dry chocolate cake, and curdled banana pudding. The best dessert option is the fresh blueberries and strawberries.

My husband ate the buffet and enjoyed it okay. I ordered the prime rib medium rare. It was very over-cooked and tough. Do not order this unless you like prime rib very well done. We both liked the salad bar. It was good. Our waitress (Hailey) was very friendly. After she ask about our food I told her mine was over-cooked. She told the cook apparently and let me know that they "were sorry"! (not her fault) I left hungry...

Great buffet food and atmosphere. The strawberry shortcake is a must try. We will definitely be back.

A long-established restaurant in Hiawassee, Daniels Steak House is probably best known for its buffet, fast service, and its reasonable prices. Build your own salad, load up in fried chicken or the beef selection, grab a dessert (if you have room left) and you'll be glad you let them do the cooking! A favorite restaurant for locals and Appalachian Trail hikers looking for hot meal (and lots of it), try the buffet or the daily special. On the way out to your car (or truck) enjoy the view of the mountains. Fed and happy!

Very good. We had the buffet so can not attest to the steaks or seafood. Arrived before the crowd. Once church let out the place was slammed so service slowed. Would definitely eat there again.

Tuesday's are fish day the food was awesome! I had baked white fish, popcorn shrimp, with red potatoes, and mac cheese. It was really good! The service was great as well.

Great friendly staff and buffet is getting back to normal

This was by far the worst service I have ever received. If I could give zero stars, I would. Nobody came to our table until 20 after we sat down and even then, it was the hostess bringing us waters. Then, she told a server to take care of us and still no one came over. 20 minutes later, the hostess came and took our order. An hour after ordering, our food arrived. Tables that arrived after us got their food before us. It took 10 minutes to get a water refill. No server ever came over until halfway through our meal. And there was no apology, except from the hostess as we were leaving. Our order was wrong too. My steak was cooked too long and I ordered a loaded potato and shrimp cocktail. I received a regular baked potato and shrimp scampi. Our consolation for the wait was that we could go get a dessert from the buffet. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!

Local buffet style restaurant with hard to beat value. For what you pay there should be no complaints on the selection and quality of food. For the price of fast food you will get a home cooked style selection of meat(s) of the day, vegetables, salad and desert. Do not expect five star hip decor but that’s not why you would go here or go back and that’s not what it’s about. Food is good, service is friendly and consistent. Giving four out of five because this really presents as a small town buffet restaurant not a steakhouse as the name implies. When I here steakhouse I think that’s the number one thing a place is known for and that is the majority of what comes out of the kitchen. This is a buffet restaurant. Good, hearty, feel at home in a small mountain community restaurant. Value 5.

Classic Southern cooking, buffet style. All you can eat deep-fried chicken is heaven for AT hikers just off the trail. Courteous staff in a Gone with the Wind themed family restaurant.

I happen to work for this place and Im happy to call blake ledford my boss/employer and a friend. I see poeple on here leaving nasty comments and have never eaten here. Do not spread rumors that aren't true we are a very respected restaurant and a fun family environment. Do to the pandemic we are running as best we can if our steaks are tough once in a blue moon we apologise as it is not our fault either. There is a good shortage and we have to account for that we do our best to tenderize them. And on behalf of Blake he is a very respectful and professional owner and boss I've seen him help families in need help us and others find vehicles when we were in need. The entire staff receives bonuses periodically along with holiday bonuses and time off to be with family. This is the best establishment I've ever had the privilege to work at and Blake ledforn is the best boss/owner/friend I've ever had the honor to know and work with

It is an okay place. Clean place with nice staff. Reasonable food prices. We had the buffet which was good. They also have a menu to order off of. This place has been open for many years. I will go back again and maybe my review will be a four-star next time.

Delicious buffett with huge selection of foods. The price is unbelieveable and all the staff is very friendly and courteous. We love to eat there and love to take out of town guests there. Everyone leaves Daniel's full. You will love it. Great place to take the family for Thanksgiving too! My relatives loved it.

Waitress was a 5 *, but our steaks was awful sent them back because we ordered M.R. they came out very Rare... 1 of us ordered fries, I ordered onion rings we both got baked potato's all of it was cold :( Worst steak we have ever had. My husband told the check out lady it was horrible she just looked at him... But again the waitress was sweet as she could be...
